(Lukman) 31 : 15

And if they strive you to associate others to Me for which you have no Knowledge, you don’t obey both of them; however you treat them kindly in this world, and you follow the path of the one who turned to Me, then to me all of your return, I will inform you what you were doing.

No one has the right or choice to select in which place, era, or to which parents, religion, caste, sex, etc. he/she has to be born. It is Lord Allah who brings everyone to this earth how He wishes. Lord of the universe has taught through His Messenger that no one becomes a believer until he/she loves others in the pleasure of Allah, hates others in the displeasure of Allah, gives to others in the satisfaction of Allah, and does not give to others in the displeasure of Allah. Even though the parents are Mushriks who associate others in the dominion of Allah, the son should be given accommodation, food, clothes, medical treatment, etc. in this world. But it is not allowed to seek forgiveness for such parents as told in verses 9: 113-114. The believer by testifying verses 2: 261 and 4: 85 propagates the Lord’s Message Adhikr to the entire mankind, especially to those who didn’t receive It, planting trees and organic farming and encourages others to do so aiming to get a portion of the righteous deeds, and the glorification and praising of 1000 communities of Lord’s creatures to his parents; thus he can get his parents in the Paradise.

Even though it is told in this verse “Allah will inform you what you were doing”, Lord Allah will not speak to them on the Day of Judgment. But the Recording Book fastened by Lord Allah on everyone’s neck will be produced as an Illuminated Spread Open Book and everyone’s Reckoning will be done by reading It as explained in verses 17: 13-14. See explanation 18: 49 and 29: 8.
